What's your middle name? Is there a story or history behind it?
My middle name is Winter. I guess the story is that I was born in the dead of a cold Milwaukee winter. The day of my delivery was cold, icy and windy, making it treacherous to be outside much less racing to the hospital. So they decided to give me a fitting middle name. That and my parents were hippies.
Speaking of which, my name, had I been a girl, would have been Dulcet Sunshine Webb. Maybe if I had been a girl, that winter in Milwaukee would have had an unseasonally warm and bright day before cooling back to a cold white sleep.
Hey G! It's your hippie Mom! Yes, that winter day of January 9 was so cold that the car locks froze; the street signs whipped and bent in the wind; and the ice made your nose hairs prickle....Winter was certainly an appropriate name! You're right about the Dulcet Sunshine (which makes me cringe a bit now), but you failed to mention that we would have CALLED you Dulcie. My name of choice for a girl now is Linen. Any takers? I don't think I'LL be using it!!
