What do you collect?
I guess because my tag-line is "I collect things..." I should answer this. I collect things I consider 'useful'. Therefore, I do not collect action figures, or baseball cards or pez dispensers. However I freely admit that my definition of useful may often beg the question "When?"
I collect computer components that I might need someday. I save twist-ties in a container in my kitchen for when I need a bag closed or a cord secured. I collect light bulbs of various wattages, batteries of various cellage and all those little hex wrenches that come with Ikea furniture.
I collect the lumpy power plugs (wall warts), with thin plug ends, with fat plug ends and hollow plug ends. I have every promotional pen and pencil I've ever received. I have several varieties of paper. I have a lot of tape.
I have all the owner's manuals for every product I've ever purchased, including my rice-maker (you never know). I have at least 3 kinds of rice.
I have change from at least 6 different countries totalling over $40 US.
I have two or three bottles of expired cat medicine.
I collect the minutiae of daily life because I know someday, I will need that little plastic cracker jack magnifying glass to read the treasure map on the back of the perfectly good picture frame I found on the street, and I will be as rich as kings.
