Yesterday we went to the tenderloin so Thien could pickup a French book from the European book store thats on Larkin and Geary. Afterward we stopped by a Vietnamese sandwich shop (the city has officially named the area along Larkin 'St. Little Saigon') and got some lunch. I had the vegetarian special which, after I ate, I noticed several bits that seemed very pork-like in nature. I'm sure it was pork substitute...
We got back to our parking spot when Thien spied a Goodwill across the street. "We still have 10min on the meter!" she said motioning toward the goodwill store. Having no desire to spend even 10 minutes of a warm sunny Saturday afternoon under the cold stale florescents of the goodwill store, I stayed outside with my camera and took a few shots of the buildings across the street.
Fifteen minutes later and still waiting a guy crossed the street and stopped just before the entrance. Moderately built and wearing a red tank top he looked ready to start a pickup game of basketball or chug some beer.
Him: "That your camera?"
Me: "Yah"
Him: "Are you a photographer?"
Me: "Uh, no, not really."
Him: "Take a picture of this"
The guy began flexing his biscep at me.
Him: "Yah? Take a picture of this"
Me: "Um, I'm out of film, sorry"
He seemed to accept this and dissappeared into the Goodwill.
A minute later Thien emerged from the store beaming; "Look! I got this purse for $2!" Seems everyone's got something to show off.
Tell Thien to take me to this Goodwill the next time I'm visiting! Sounds like fun bargains!

Haha the Tenderloin Goodwill. I remember dumping a lot of my stuff and Kyle's stuff there before we moved.
