I've left a few comments on other peoples posts and it just occured to me that some of those comments were responded to by the author or by other members. I get an email whenever someone comments on my assets (hey!) but I don't get anything if someone coments on a coment Ieft for another persons post. I know that we don't have threading so its not like there's a way to really tell that they were responding to me, but maybe it would be nice to have an option like "email me whenever someone comments on assets I've left comments on". Or maybe comment threading would be easier.

mixi.jp(huge SNS in japan) have a view of entry's title list with a number of comments. 'recent entries you commented in last one week'.
I can check a new comment after I posted a comment.

+1 on followup comments on someone else's assets I've commented on.
Ick on threaded unless it was configurable by the user. I just want chronological order!

I also love Flickr's activity on your photos and comments on photos you've commented on features. I have both feeds in my feed reader and it really stimulates community and conversation.

+1 for comment threading, totally. LJ has spoiled me with threading and nesting and notifications, o my. :)
